Path of Exile is a free-to-play action role-playing video game developed and published by Grinding Gear Games. Following an open beta phase, the game was released for Microsoft Windows in October 2013. A version for Xbox One was released in August 2017, and a PlayStation 4 version was released in March 2019.

Path of Exile takes place in the dark fantasy world, where the government of the island nation of Oriath exiles people to the continent of Wraeclast, a ruined continent home to many ancient gods. Taking control of an exile, players can choose to play as one of seven character classes – Marauder, Duelist, Ranger, Shadow, Witch, Templar, and Scion. Players are then tasked with fighting their way back to Oriath, defeating ancient gods and great evils during their journey.

Path of Exile 3.20 Expansion Notes

The release date for 3.20 Update is certainly on December 9th (PST) for PC and Mac, and was launched on December 14th for X-box and PlayStation.

According to Grinding Gear Games, this should have a positive impact on the development team and players. One of the biggest updates must be the remove of Archnemesis, which attracts lots of players back to the game, and obviously it is just a start.

Other important thing is the reverting changes done to Harvest in previous expansion, players can now store a substantially greater number of harvest crafts. Harvest monsters can now drop a new orb that will allow you to store one Harvest craft and trade it with other players. GGG is reverting the changes to the rarity and quantity of items dropped from league-specific monsters. Finally for the convenience of players, Path of Exile provides players with three additional game modes: Ruthless, Hard Mode, and Solo Self-Found.

Among them, after Ruthless mode goes online, players can choose whether to add extremely scarce items or participate in other changes. As an addition to the 3.20 expansion, Ruthless will not affect the scope and functionality of the upcoming new leagues.

Path of Exile Currency System

Currency items can be found as drops from monsters or chests, bought directly from different vendors in town, or received through the use of the vendor recipe system by trading specific configurations of items to any town vendor. Currency items play a large role in the player to player trading system, with rare orbs able to be traded for powerful equipment, or even other types of orbs that a player might need at the time for crafting.

Basic currency items are those that have no specific drop restrictions (in-game wording: non-league), such as which areas or monsters they can drop from. Some examples of basic currency items are Scrolls of Wisdom, Chaos Orbs and Mirrors of Kalandra .

Therefore, POE Currency does not refer to a specific currency, but a general term for all things that can be earned in Path of Exile.
